BATIK HST's... Jane told me she keeps checking to see if I have posted pictures of the progress I have made on my Exploding Star Quilt I am making from all those batiks I bought earlier this fall. Well, here it is, such as it is. 3 bags of HST's.......over 1,000 of 'em.Most of them still needing to be pressed! I had hoped to have the top done by Christmas, but have decided now that I am going to have to put it aside because I realized that the only quilt I had planned to give away this year is still waiting to be quilted and I had told my quilter friend I was just going to quilt it myself. NOW to find the time for that. I can't say a lot about it because I don't know whether the recipient reads my blog or not. I really don't think so, but don't want to take any chances. Already said more than I should have in a previous post! Will post pics and the story after I give it away right before Christmas! I will tell you it is the same pattern as the Orange Peel one I posted pictures of a few posts down!
Hi, my name is Ann and I live in South Central Missouri. I've been sewing and crafting for years. Quilting is probably my biggest passion, but I dabble in lots of different crafts. I work for the USPS, but my favorite title is "Grandma". I have 2 great kids and 2 even greater grandbabies!
Welcome to my corner of the world!
Here's where you'll find pictures of my family, quilts and flowers, or whatever else I happen to take a picture of!

TI Dubble G errr....!! Can you say AWWWW? I love this picture! He's so like his mama, though, always has that plug in his mouth! I just had to share!
I forgot to mention in my last post that the Orange Peel was from Karla Alexander's Stack a New Deck book. I also have her New Cuts For New Quilts, but haven't made anything from it yet. Some one asked, so I thought I'd better give credit to the author!
