A quilt for Haley... One of our substitute mail carriers has a 15 year old daughter who has Stage 4 Lung cancer....she has tumors other places as well. Another co worker and I have decided to make a quilt for Haley and here are our strips laid out to get an idea of what it is going to look like. Ellen still needs to finish stitching around some of the applique pieces and I still need to trim the edges of the pioneer braids. There will be 2 braids on either side edge with a 2" strip between them. We haven't decided on a border yet, but we are both thrilled with how it looks so far!

This quilt is absolutely beautiful!! How kind of you and your co-worker to think of this girl. You both have done a wonderful job, and have created such a treasured and thoughtful gift for this grieving family.
